Bahrainis say dialogue yields no result___PRESSTV-IRAN

A political expert says the Bahrain talks will collapse if the opposition fails to follow the demands voiced by protesters over the past week.

Maryam Khawaja from Bahrain's Center for Human Rights made remarks in an interview with Press TV on Sunday.

Latest reports say the crown prince has entered talks with opposition groups. The main opposition bloc, Al-Wefaq, had earlier rejected the king's offer of national dialog.

The opposition says it is “not negotiating” with the government and that it is merely stating its demands.

The government has violently cracked down on demonstrators demanding an end to the monarchy. So far at least six people have been killed and hundreds more wounded.

Meanwhile, reports say that the troops opening fire on protesters are not Bahraini nationals. They are foreigners, mostly Pakistanis and Indians, granted Bahraini citizenship by the monarchy.

On Sunday, thousands of protesters have once again flooded the central Pearl Square in the capital Manama, calling for the ouster of the regime.
